all watched over by machines of loving grace (2019)
galleria d’arte moderna g. carandente, palazzo collicola arti visive, spoleto 2022

from richard brautigan’s poem to james lovelock’s novacene scenarios, the diptych settles in a collective exhibition dealing with the relationship between form and substance, form and environment, through exogenous and exogenous forces. the exibition draws from the anecdote that watson and crick, in their discovery of the DNA double-helix structure, were reportedly inspired by crick’s casual doodles in his lab notebook. while seemingly simple, this episode reveals much about the nature of form — both in organic processes and artistic research (from the curatorial text, davide silvioli)
